Founders Anaid Cano and Josep Vila started Petrucha in 2014 with the intention of creating a sustainable footwear brand that wasn’t just a label, but a vehicle for change. With a small team of designers, leather craftsman and art directors, all the work is carried out in Petrucha’s workshop in Alicante, Spain. Committed to sustainability and ethical production, Petrucha follows a criteria that makes its cycle as circular as possible, not adhering to collections, seasons or trends. All leathers are naturally treated, only using vegetable dyes whilst designs feature raw-edges and hand-stitched detailing. With a minimal and natural aesthetic, the brand creates transcendental biodegradable objects which pay incredible attention to detail resulting in handcrafted, high-quality leather shoes that never lose their value.
