ARTIST SERIES #02: ROSIE VOHRA X GUCCI

Introducing the second in our Artist Series, bringing together emerging creative talent with our strongest collections for the season. Leeds based artist Rosie Vohra presents her interpretation of AW16 Gucci, applying a new approach to her work with a focus on fashion and conflicting ideas within the context of her imagined and observed settings. Connecting the used imagery from the collection with its relation to Indian miniature painting, she has drawn on pattern, colour and product to create an abstract environment in her delicate, detailed and observed drawing and painting style.

IN FOCUS: THOM BROWNE'S BOYS

Causing a veritable revolution in menswear, Thom Browne has defined and refined silhouettes, detailing and proportions with his modern approach to contemporary luxury. His shrunken hemlines and abbreviated pattern cutting have initiated a subtle shift in the landscape of contemporary menswear that reaches as far as the tailors of Savile Row. Always relaying back to his influences in late fifties and early sixties American classic dressing, Browne returns to focus on this innately prep-infused aesthetic for his pre-AW16 collection.
