SS16 STELLA MCCARTNEY

SS16 celebrates the liberated spirit of summer with energetic and colourful pleated dresses, sculptural layers, and light knitwear. Contrasting two-tone accordion pleated tops and long asymmetric skirts with bright checked patterns give movement to the collection whilst clean-lined tailored pieces are reimagined for the Spring/Summer season; deconstructing silhouettes and transforming suit jackets into sleeveless double-breasted tunics. Feminine, form-fitting transparent skirts and tops feature graphic checks and stripes in acid shades of tangerine orange, candy red, grass green and crisp white whilst skin-tight, fine-stretch polo shirts feature sports-inspired striped trims.

EDIT: SS16 MARIUS PETRUS

Referencing Hitchcock’s classic 1950s movie ‘North by Northwest’, MariusPetrus’ SS16 collection takes cues from Americana blending vintage sports influences with signature MariusPetrus contemporariness. Based on the iconic plane pursuit scene through the cornfields, this season’s prints feature bold, monochromatic corn formations. Hooded jackets with utilitarian details and exaggerated pocketing are realised in staple navys and indigos alongside a collection of neutrals and blacks. Wide leg pants, oversized shorts and flat-collared shirts are paired with slim cropped selvedge denims reminiscent of 50s workwear whilst high-tech waterproof jackets and structured T-shirts uphold MariusPetrus’ iconic technical aesthetic.

Explore latest SS16 Men's Sneakers with high tops dominating the season. Crafted from leather, canvas and vegan materials the classic silhouette is re-imagined by Lanvin, Rick Owens, Feit and Eytys whilst Y-3 releases the new Hayworth Mid Sneaker in an expressive sporting aesthetic. Colours remain classic this season whilst textures and details allow for a highly finished feel.

Women's jewellery is delicate and understated this season, with strong pieces from Vionnet and Yves Saint Laurent alongside young brands Ribeyron and Arielle de Pinto. Yang Li's recent collaboration with Bunney is imagined in the form of Sterling Silver floral studded brooches, celebrating both brands eye for detail and strong aesthetic.
