Sean Vegezzi began documenting his explorations of New York City in 2000. Along with his friends Vegezzi explored the unused and often out of sight spaces of the city such as rooftops, subway tunnels and construction sights. His photographs capture the adolescent adventurous spirit for a group of boys verging on adulthood. As they climb and sneak through restricted locations they take pride in being the only ones there, a big accomplishment in a metropolis city like New York. His iconic images capture large undefined spaces translated into a playground for restless boys.
