WHAT'S HOT

SUMMER HOMEWARE: DEEP. DARK. DELIBERATE.

SHADE IS PERENNIAL, EVEN ON THE HOTTEST DAYS

Despite an aggressively advertised but largely unsubstantiated hypothesis, Gen Z yellow is not a thing. Although undeniably cheery, the highly saturated colour of a smiley face doesn’t have the credentials for universal charm, nor the resilience to defeat millennial pink resurging on the wave of Ballet and Barbie core.

Perhaps Gen Z, an individualistic group coming of age under the shadow of climate crisis, nuclear war and the urgent need to save the world, would gravitate to a collection of more calming colours and silhouettes?

Instead of relying on the questionable science of generation framing that reduces masses of people to one singular interest, LN-CC swaps an uncompromising shade of yellow for architectural homeware in the deepest shades of the sea.

ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?

This is the summer to hopscotch past saccharine stripes and frivolous ruffles in pursuit of something more substantial. From Polspotten vases inspired by the coral reef, to the creases and bends of Completedworks’ matte ceramic vase, and the teal-tinged sheet steel that comprises Vitra’s Lampe de Bureau, homeware is sinuous, sensual and comfortable with the shadows.
