Thomas Jeppe travelled to a variety of locations, from America to Europe and Australia. The tattoos that these men have are less of a vanity project that you might see today, they are simple, uncomplicated, often blurred and generally incorrect. Jeppe's photographs reveal a lot about the old men and as you proceed through the book the tattoos provide a strong narrative of the lives these old men lived.
