Published under Dusseldorf based photographer, Oliver Sieber's own publishing imprint BoehmKobayashi, J-Subs is an anthropological depiction of Japanese punks and psychobillys that frequent the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. The feeling of the book borrows from punk fanzine influences with it's stapling and lightweight paper stock, however this is cleverly counter balanced by the great production values and high grade print quality. An innovative example of contemporary independent publishing.
