Carlo Mollino was one of the most inspired mid-20th-century architects and designers. In a career that spanned more than four decades, Mollino designed buildings, homes, women’s fashion, and theater sets. Taking renaissance inspirations Mollino sought to articulate movement and sensuality in all that he designed.
Polaroids is a compelling collection of surreal Polaroid images Mollino made in his studio in Turin during the last fourteen years of his life. The magically surreal erotic photographs see his models posed in evocative clothing in front of staged backdrops and finally the images are altered with a microscopic paintbrush to attain his ideal view of the female form. After the initial success of Polaroids in 2000, Damiano have re-published the book with a new cover
