From our on-going RxCYCLE project which gives new life to old garments by transforming them into furniture to the recently launched co-branded upcycling capsule DRx FARMAxY for LN-CC, LN-CC are continually learning from Dr. Romanelli (DRx). The Los Angeles-based upcycling pioneer of reinterpretation, deconstruction and resurrection has long been known for revitalising garments to tell the consumer a new story. While Dr. Romanelli’s brand is multi-dimensional, transcending industries from fashion to music and marketing, DRx FARMAxY for LN-CC is an outlet that sees him work alongside Paris-based interdisciplinary artist Deborah Meirelles Azevedo on monthly product drops focussed of crafting beauty out of an unsettled moment.
Building on the first Shaman-inspired two-piece workwear prescription released last month, DRx and Deborah Meirelles have cut, stitched, embroidered, and reinvigorated deadstock men’s shirting for a 16 piece capsule of one-of-a-kind. Throughout the reimagined workwear, hoodies and dresses, the intricate embroidery work have the perfect backdrop in the patchwork quilt of striped, plaid and plain shirting. Each piece invites closer inspection and transports you everywhere from tattoo parlours to fairytales, nature to Shaman-conjured visions. Are you ready to peer inside the mind’s eye of DRx FARMAxY for LN-CC?
To celebrate the launch, LN-CC invited Bristol-based creative consultant, stylist and photographer Ben Butling and frequent collaborator Parisa to shoot in their unique style. Immersed in the great outdoors, the reinvigorated pieces seemingly come to life.
