Founded by Alexandre Mattiussi in 2011, Paris-based brand AMI offers distinctive collections rooted in a street style aesthetic. Previously working for houses Givenchy, Dior and Marc Jacobs, Mattiussi instils the same degree of quality but with contemporary cuts, sporty silhouettes and considered detailing. Eschewing trends, AMI creates wearable collections of authentic, smart and wearable collections for the modern man.
For AW16 Mattiussi continued to champion an uncomplicated approach to menswear with firm finishing and creative fabrications. Long coat’s lapels are peaked and pronounced whilst satin puffer jackets are worn over tailored sports pieces with formal undertones. Daring trimmings such as shimmery satins and sequins add a modern finish to utilitarian, chic and understated looks, the collection is highly wearable and considered.
