Evocative, complex and inward-looking, the latest chapter for autumn / winter 23 marks a departure from previous seasons, exchanging creative sources of inspiration from the 70s to the 90s.
Redefined through a selection of elevated and refined archival looks, adidas’ sporting legacy looks to a new era. Still grounded in the adidas Originals by Wales Bonner lexicon, the new campaign captures an eclectic blend of models and street cast figures against minimal backdrops – highlighting the simplicity of the silhouettes and the distinctive personalities of the characters themselves.
A continued exploration of athletic codes, football shorts adorned with the iconic Three Stripes contrast are styled against elegant knitted sets in rich hues, proposing a distinct notion of luxury. Key pieces are rendered in a lightweight technical nylon fabrication, including a tracksuit with reflective piping and a nylon top accented with a vivid contrast-knit collar.
Similarly, the adidas Originals Samba silhouette continues to evolve, incorporating luxurious faux pony-hair upper and gum sole – one in leopard print, the other in a light tan iteration – while another set features suede overlays and signature contrast stitching.
