Street Special 1 + 2 were produced as separate special issues of famed Japanese fashion photography journal STREET, the first of which was released in 1995, followed by the second in 1999. Both trace the history of Maison Martin Margiela – from its inception in 1988 through to the time of publishing – through photographs from the shows and backstage, as well as images from past collections and the fashion house’s archives.
