Cameraworks by David Hockney
- Publisher: Knopf
- Year: 1984
- Format: Hardcover
- Edition: First
From March 1981 until June 1983, David Hockney spent virtually all of his creative time in voracious experimentation with the camera. He shot thousands of pictures, and in the end produced more than 350 photo¬collages that ranged from intimate 'sketches' to dizzying panoramas containing a myriad of details and hundreds of micro¬perspectives. His aim was to create, as he says, 'pictures that describe how we see ¬ not all at once, but in discrete, separate glimpses, to synthesize a living impression.'
