New-York based designer Thom Browne launched his namesake label in 2003 following a stint at the Giorgio Armani showroom and a leading role in Club Monaco’s creative department. Having been awarded GQ’s Designer of the Year award in 2008 and twice winning the prestigious CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award in 2006 and 2013, Browne’s innovative and forward-thinking tailored designs have garnered due industry respect. Using traditional wools, technical flannels and innovative mohairs, Browne reinvents classic suiting with unique proportions, cropped silhouettes and preppy detailing. The label’s distinct American preppy aesthetic is subverted by period-specific influences that translate through unique layering and shrunken shapes whilst provocative elements and meticulous cuts place the brand at the vanguard of modern menswear.
