The Horn Wax offshoot of the Tusk Wax label has released a slew of intriguing split EPs with names like Timothy Fairplay, Paul Mac and Scott Fraser sharing 12' real estate with newcomers Forever Sound, Si Murray and Missile Crisis. The latest Horn Wax transmission focuses on new talent with Cyclonix and People Get Real, aka Simon Lister and Peter Wilson, sharing space on this vinyl only, 180g, hand stamped and individually numbered release. Soft kicks, reinforced by 909 toms are cajoled and caressed by breezy synths which rise and fall in like swaying tree branch in 'Esoteric Ideas', while the noisy electronics and step-sequenced bleeps of People Get Real's 'Cane' make for a slightly sinister and dilatory groove filled with murmuring machines and analogue hum.
