Marine Serre
Charmed by the aesthetics of sportswear, LVMH winner, Marine Serre made her runway debut in February 2018. Collections tweak and refine utilitarian staples. With a hybrid approach, Serre applies the suppleness of athletic to her different designs. Serre launched her label whilst working as a design assistant at Balenciaga, having previously had experience working at Maison Margiela, Alexander McQueen and Dior amongst others. The French designer takes environmental practices very seriously, since the launch of her eponymous label Serre works with up-cycled products alongside high-tech and innovative fabrics, combining athletic aesthetic and feminine silhouettes, with a couture-inspired sensibility. Marine Serre offers a truly forward-thinking output, colliding a mix of cultural and epochal references, promoting and experimenting onto the invention of new culture. New season offerings include daring accents of colour, unexpected textures, asymmetric silhouettes and the reintroduced iconic crescent moon print.
